Bryan has experience in both government and private sectors helping organizations manage cyber risk and respond to targeted cyber threats. Bryan is currently a Director of Professional Services at CrowdStrike where he leads the central region services practice and is responsible for delivering cyber incident response services as well as providing trusted advisory services for customers taking proactive measures to identify risks, detect threats and better secure their technology ecosystem.
Prior to joining CrowdStrike, Bryan was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young’s (EY) where he led teams delivering Cyber Threat Management services. At EY, Bryan led incident response efforts uncovering nation state threat actors, helped clients build security operations services, led security assessment engagements, and assisted with build EY’s first managed security services offering.
Before entering the private sector, Bryan was a Captain in the United States Air Force where he served as a Cyber Operations Officer. During this time, he led tactics development efforts supporting offensive cyber operations enabling three letter agencies to conduct missions as well as defensive cyber efforts working alongside the Air Force’s Cyber Emergency Response Team. Additionally, Bryan built the Air Force’s first cyber hunting capability in 2011 and deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where he led the Joint Task Force’s information security program.
In addition to leading the central region services practice at CrowdStrike, Bryan regularly speaks to executive teams on cybersecurity threats and risks. He is a co-author of Responding to Targeted Cyberattacks as well as the Incident Response Reference Guide and has presented at many security conferences including ISACA, RSA, ISC2, GRRCon and more. Bryan has also been quoted in several news articles discussing recent trends and threats in cyber security and incident response by Dark Reading, SC Magazine, Motherboard and others.
