Does CrowdStrike® offer a warranty that provides protection in the event of a breach?
CrowdStrike is offering a warranty to Falcon Complete™ customers that will cover up to $1 million in breach response expenses if there is a security incident within the environment protected by CrowdStrike Falcon Complete.
Can customers get the warranty coverage now?
The coverage is included with the purchase of Falcon Complete at no additional charge to the customer.
What is Falcon Complete?
CrowdStrike Falcon® Complete, is a turnkey solution, combining the Falcon Endpoint Protection (EPP) technology with the skills and experience of the Falcon Complete Team. The team takes over the administration and monitoring of the Falcon platform and responds to threats 24 hours a day.
What are the warranty coverage tiers and how is the amount of the warranty determined?
A customer’s coverage tier for each annual warranty period corresponds to the amount the customer spends on its Falcon Complete subscription for that period. The tier determines the total amount of warranty protection based on the table below:

What security incidents are covered by the warranty?
To be eligible for warranty coverage, the security incident must constitute unauthorized access by a third party to the operating system of an endpoint protected by Falcon Complete that results in the malicious exfiltration, destruction and/or irreversible encryption of customer data that customer reasonably believes has value in excess of $5,000.
What expenses are covered under the warranty in the event of a Security Event?
The warranty covers certain breach response fees and expenses incurred by the customer, including legal consultation, forensic services, notification expenses, identity theft and credit monitoring, public relations and cyber extortion payments.
How much does the warranty cost?
The warranty is included with the purchase of a Falcon Complete subscription. There is no additional charge to the customer. The warranty is purely a value-added benefit for the customer.
What is required for a customer to receive the warranty protections?
The customer must subscribe to Falcon Complete and agree to the warranty terms and conditions.
What time period is covered by the warranty?
The warranty is offered on a year-to-year basis.
Can the warranty for Falcon Complete be offered by partners and resellers?
Yes. The warranty is included with Falcon Complete, so partners and resellers are able to sell Falcon Complete and can offer the warranty protection as a part of Falcon Complete.
How does Falcon Complete impact me if I’m looking at obtaining cyber insurance?
Taking certain security precautions, including subscribing to Falcon Complete, could result in better terms on cyber insurance. CrowdStrike has very strong relationships within the insurance industry and certain insurance carriers recognize the risk reduction provided by Falcon Complete and may be willing to provide better terms on cyber insurance.
Can I negotiate the terms and conditions of the warranty?
No. The warranty agreement is tailored to CrowdStrike’s insurance coverage and is therefore only offered on a “take it or leave it” basis.
Can I buy the warranty if I do not subscribe to Falcon Complete?
No. The warranty only applies to Falcon Complete.
If I suspect a breach when Falcon Complete is purchased, is it possible to get the benefits of the warranty?
Any new Falcon Complete customer is eligible for the warranty; however, pre-existing security incidents are not covered.
Are pre-existing events covered by the warranty?
No, the security incident must first occur and be discovered during a warranty period.
Are there configuration requirements for the Falcon Complete offering?
Yes, the protected endpoints must be in CrowdStrike’s recommended protection posture and the customer will receive read-only access to the Falcon Platform.
Are there events that are excluded from warranty coverage?
Yes, security incidents resulting from a customer whitelisting an endpoint, altering configurations to fall below the measured security posture, failing to follow CrowdStrike’s prevention or remediation instructions, and altering the Falcon Complete product are excluded. Other exclusions include customer’s fraudulent, criminal or malicious acts, violations of the law and other physical and force majeure events.
