CrowdStrike Receives Highest Score for the Type A Use Case or “Lean Forward” Organizations in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms Report
CrowdStrike secures the highest three product scores across all use cases (Type A, Type B, and Type C), showcasing its industry-leading, comprehensive technology
Sunnyvale, CA — June 1, 2018 — CrowdStrike® Inc., the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has given CrowdStrike the highest product score in the Type A use case in Gartner’s inaugural Critical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms report[i].
Gartner’s research assessed 21 Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) vendors for three use cases based on type of organization. CrowdStrike received the highest score for the Type A use case, which focused on “lean forward” organizations that adopt new technologies very early in the adoption cycle. CrowdStrike also received the second highest scores for the Type B use case and third highest score for the Type C use case named in the report, which we believe attests to the overall strength and value of the CrowdStrike portfolio.

The Critical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms research is a brand new report from Gartner that is a companion of the analysis for the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms, and uses the same data collected during that research period. Within the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms, CrowdStrike was positioned highest for its ability to execute and furthest to the right for its completeness of vision in the Visionaries quadrant. For the Critical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms report, “Gartner reviewed the following classes of products and services: prevention, console alerting and reporting, EDR core functionality, EDR advanced response, third-party integration, EPP suite, managed services, geographic support, and OS support.”
