CrowdStrike Named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises Vendor Assessment

We believe CrowdStrike's recognition as a Leader reflects the proven protection, AI innovation, and telemetry scale that make industry-leading endpoint security foundational to securing the agentic enterprise.

CrowdStrike has been named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises Vendor Assessment.

We believe this recognition reflects the strength of the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform and the proven endpoint capabilities CrowdStrike brings into the AI era: industry-leading protection at scale, consistent analyst recognition, measurable business value, and the trust of customers globally.

What happens on the endpoint is changing rapidly. Humans, applications, and AI agents increasingly work side by side, executing commands, accessing data, using identities, interacting through browsers, invoking tools, and introducing software. This creates the agentic endpoint, where humans, AI agents, and AI-enabled adversaries converge.

The threats endpoint security was built to stop have not disappeared. Ransomware, malware-free attacks, hands-on-keyboard activity, and credential abuse remain critical risks. But the attack surface has expanded. Supply chain attacks can introduce risk before code executes, while AI agents add a new source of activity, access, and autonomy.

This demands the next evolution of endpoint security. Agentic endpoint security builds on proven prevention, detection, and response while extending protection across the agents, software, identities, and actions shaping activity at runtime. Knowing what happened is no longer enough. Security needs to understand who or what acted, the access and intent behind that activity, and whether it should be allowed to continue.

Securing the Agentic Endpoint

CrowdStrike is building on our proven endpoint security foundation, which consists of the Falcon sensor and our deep endpoint telemetry powering prevention, detection, and response, to protect the expanding range of endpoint activity. Our foundation stops advanced endpoint attacks, blocks supply chain attacks before malicious code executes, and provides the deep endpoint visibility needed to understand activity as it unfolds.

As AI agents introduce a new source of activity and autonomy on the endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon® Guardian adds the agent-specific context and controls needed to understand and secure that activity. Falcon Guardian discovers approved and unknown agents, enforces AI governance policy, detects threats like prompt injection and malicious skills, and connects prompt-layer activity with OS-level telemetry so teams can trace AI agent actions through the processes they trigger. Because it runs on the same Falcon sensor customers already deploy, organizations can extend protection into AI agent activity without another endpoint sensor, separate console, or control plane.

The same endpoint foundation that Falcon Guardian builds on also protects against malicious software before it executes. CrowdStrike Real-Time Supply Chain Attack Protection blocks malicious npm and PyPI packages at download, before embedded code can run, whether downloaded by a human or an AI agent. This extends endpoint prevention further upstream in the attack chain.

IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of technology and suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each supplier's position within a given market. The Capabilities score measures supplier product, go-to-market and business execution in the short term. The Strategy score measures alignment of supplier strategies with customer requirements in a 3-5-year timeframe. Supplier market share is represented by the size of the icons.

Advancing Endpoint Security to Face Future Threats

We believe the strengths noted by IDC MarketScape reinforce the foundation required for this evolution of endpoint security.

Proven Protection

IDC MarketScape noted CrowdStrike's "consistently strong, independently verified detection and protection performance, including a perfect score on the 2025 MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise Evaluations and AAA-rated SE Labs ransomware testing" among its key strengths. In the MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations: Enterprise 2025, CrowdStrike achieved 100% detection, 100% protection, and zero false positives.

This proven prevention, detection, and response remains essential as adversaries adopt AI, and as trusted software, credentials, and agent workflows become increasingly important parts of the attack surface. Agentic endpoint security builds on that proven foundation.

AI Innovation Backed by Real-Time Telemetry

IDC MarketScape also cites CrowdStrike's “deep AI and agentic investment translating into reported SOC efficiency gains, backed by a large real-time telemetry pipeline processing trillions of events daily.”

That telemetry, overlaid with adversary-driven threat intelligence, is critical to securing the agentic endpoint. CrowdStrike Threat Graph processes trillions of events daily, giving the Falcon platform rich runtime context from the point where activity occurs. This helps security teams understand which actions happened, who or what performed them, what access was involved, and what happened next.

CrowdStrike's AI capabilities build on that data foundation across the platform. CrowdStrike® Charlotte AI™ extends it into AI-driven investigation and response, while Falcon Guardian applies it directly to understanding and securing AI agent activity on the endpoint.

One Platform, Full Context

The IDC MarketScape noted another key strength: “broad, natively delivered platform spanning endpoint, identity, cloud, data, exposure management, and increasingly browser and mobile security, reducing reliance on third-party point products.”

We believe these capabilities are essential in the AI era. An AI agent can act using a human or workload identity, invoke tools, introduce software, interact through the browser, access sensitive data, and reach cloud resources. Securing that activity requires context around what’s happening on the endpoint.

The endpoint is where agentic activity becomes enforceable. The Falcon platform brings that context together at the endpoint. It connects the user, identity, intent, software, browser activity, data, and actions behind runtime activity so malicious or unsanctioned behavior can be stopped in real time.

Securing What Happens Next

The endpoint is more important than ever as humans and AI agents increasingly operate side by side. Agentic endpoint security builds on the proven endpoint security foundation as AI agents, software, identities, and actions shape modern work.

We believe CrowdStrike's recognition as a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises Vendor Assessment affirms the strength of that foundation and CrowdStrike's ability to advance endpoint security for what happens next.
