Irvine, CA – December 1, 2016 – CrowdStrike, the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced the appointment of Michael Carpenter as president of Global Sales and Field Operations. In this role, Carpenter will leverage his extensive experience in expanding sales organizations at scale to lead CrowdStrike’s exponential global growth.
In 2016, CrowdStrike expanded its operations globally and established physical presence in EMEA and APAC to capitalize on spiking demand for its industry-leading endpoint protection platform. Over the past three years, the company has registered impressive 2,665 percent growth and experienced triple-digit growth in +$1M dollar deals. CrowdStrike Falcon’s sensor deployments have increased by nearly 300 percent year-over-year, making it one of the most widely deployed next-generation endpoint security products worldwide.
Previously, Carpenter served as president, Global Sales and Field Operations at Tanium and was the driving force in helping the company achieve global growth. Prior to Tanium, Carpenter had a senior sales position at Intel Security where he led the Americas sales theater, a $1.5 billion-dollar business.
“Mike is the consummate sales executive with unbeatable track record in building shareholder value and generating global business growth at incredible scale,” said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike’s co-founder and chief executive officer. “His experience and expertise in driving and maintaining significant revenue opportunities for the enterprise and profitable growth will be a key asset to the CrowdStrike executive team as we continue our rapid expansion.”
