How Falcon Shield helps secure Google Workspace
Google’s Zero Trust approach enables users to work securely from anywhere and offers built-in protection against phishing attacks, malware, ransomware, and supply chain attacks. However, misconfigurations of these settings can create security risks. CrowdStrike Falcon® Shield enables continuous data protection and privacy by reviewing configurations and alerting the security teams when misconfigurations put your content at risk.
Prevent data leakage
Secure file-sharing permissions to protect documents and files from unauthorized users:
- Disable sharing files with “Anyone with Link”
- Enable warning when files are shared outside the organization
- Restrict external access to shared drives
- Disable offline mode to prevent local copies of company files from being stored on locally

Detect deprovisioned users
Remove access to files and email for former employees and vendors:
- Identify users who have left their role in the company
- Review non-DLP users regularly and identify vendors no longer working with the company
- Detect user accounts that were dormant for a predetermined length of time

Secure mail access and legacy protocols
Prevent email-borne attacks:
- Find hidden malicious content
- Actively quarantine suspicious emails
- Trigger automated warning for unauthenticated emails
- Disable legacy protocols
