CrowdStrike Named a 2020 Best Company for Dads by Working Mother Media
Cybersecurity leader recognized for its flexible work environment that fully supports working parents
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – September 15, 2020 – CrowdStrike Inc. (Nasdaq: CRWD), a leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced it has been named one of the 2020 Best Companies for Dads by Working Mother Media.
CrowdStrike is committed to being a leading workplace for working parents. This accolade is evidence of CrowdStrike fostering a culture of flexibility, support and inclusiveness that is critical to working parents’ success year-round. Among all winners for 2020 Best Companies for Dads, CrowdStrike ranked #1 for Participation in Flexible Work Arrangements, #4 in Adoption Leave and #5 in overall Flexible Work.
“As a father to four children with years of experience as a working parent, I’m thrilled CrowdStrike has been named a Best Company for Dads. CrowdStrike’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) is a deep-rooted mission for our organization. We now have a dedicated diversity, equity and inclusion function, which will continue to drive programs and initiatives like the Best Companies for Dads to help expand our employees’ perspectives and work toward being a market leader in not only cybersecurity but also in diversity and inclusion best practices,” said Colin Black, chief operations officer at CrowdStrike. “By establishing this function, our efforts to build an equitable workplace that reflects the world around us is now a critical pillar in CrowdStrike’s mission. We actively strive to create a productive and balanced environment, regularly listening and adapting to the feedback and needs of our employees.”
The Best Companies for Dads list initially began in 2018, and the winning companies were originally based on data collected from the Working Mother 100 Best Companies application on paternity leave policies, family leave, employee resource groups that support men, family-friendly benefits, transition programs and more. This is the first year the Best Companies for Dads initiative is a standalone application.
Each of the 2020 Best Companies for Working Dads also has the opportunity to select a Working Dad of the Year to be recognized at the virtual Dads Matter Symposium, to be held October 28. For the 2020 inductee list, CrowdStrike has nominated Austin Murphy, vice president of Managed Services.
“I’m honored to be recognized as CrowdStrike’s Working Dad of the Year. I continuously strive to achieve work-life integration, considering what it takes to be a good dad and a good leader within the company and blending them together” said Murphy. “CrowdStrike supports me in these endeavors of having a healthy and meaningful family life by prioritizing values like flexibility, collaboration and organizational support.”
“Our employees take pride in the fact that we not only have the best technology and the best people in the industry, we’re on a mission that matters. Now we’re taking it a step further,” said J.C. Herrera, chief human resources officer at CrowdStrike. “By creating a team dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion that supports employees such as our working dads, our hope is that we will collectively increase our diversity of thought, enabling us to reach an even deeper understanding of our customers’ needs and continue to grow as an industry leader and innovator.”
