Stakeholder Action Against Botnets Data Sheet

cover of stakeholder botnet data sheet

In response to the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Request For Comment (RFC) on Promoting Stakeholder Action Against Botnets and Other Automated Threats, CrowdStrike® offers the following views. We commend the focus on this critically important issue in the May 11 Presidential Executive Order on Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure and this follow-through effort. The articulated intent, to “lead an open and transparent process to identify and promote action by appropriate stakeholders to improve the resilience of the Internet and communications ecosystem and to encourage collaboration with the goal of dramatically reducing threats perpetrated by automated and distributed attacks (e.g., botnets)” is timely and appropriate.
